    Despite the aforementioned Privacy Shield protocols, the CJEU <\/span>decided on July 16<\/span><\/a> that Privacy Shield failed to properly safeguard the personal information of EU citizens. The court expressed the following specific issues with Privacy Shield:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Privacy Shield falls short of the EU\u2019s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in terms of guaranteeing the privacy rights of EU residents.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
