In that scenario, we already knew the email address because the ad was targeted to our customers, so <strong>the goal of the ad was\u00a0not lead generation<\/strong>, but to gather valuable feedbacks.<\/p>\n<p>In this post, we\u2019re going to see how Facebook Lead Ads can help sales people to increase calls, demos of a product or test drives, which will be very interesting to all business people working in the enterprise\u00a0industry.<\/p>\n<h3>1) Choose an audience<\/h3>\n<p>The first step as usual with Facebook advertising is to specify a target for your ads. In this case, we\u2019ll take the basic (but nonetheless powerful) one: website visitors.<\/p>\n<p>If retargeting is a new topic for you I suggest to take a look at our recent post where we examined in depth <a href=\"https:\/\/leadsbridge.com\/i-bet-1000-that-you-never-used-these-6-retargeting-campaigns\/\">6 type of retargeting campaigns<\/a>, the second one is exactly about Website Custom Audiences (WCA).<\/p>\n<p>So what we are doing here??<\/p>\n<p>Since the goal of the campaign is basically to give a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.convoso.com\/blog\/metrics-solar-sales-success\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strong acceleration to a sales process<\/a> we\u2019re targeting all those people who have already demonstrated interests in our product by visiting our website. They already know us and they might for sure be interested to know something more with a quick call.<\/p>\n<h3>2) Lead Ad creation<\/h3>\n<p>Here we go through the process of creating the ad. So, access the Ads creation page from the Facebook top menu:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6908 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160208\/crate-ad-0.png\" alt=\"crate ad 0\" width=\"248\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here you\u2019ll have to choose the \u201cCollect leads for your page\u201d option and then set a name for your campaign:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6910 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160330\/create-ad.png\" alt=\"create ad\" width=\"708\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Time to choose your custom audience, which as we said will include all the persons who visited your website. If you haven\u2019t created this custom audience yet now is the time!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6911 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160407\/audience.png\" alt=\"audience\" width=\"596\" height=\"521\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the next window select Website traffic.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6912 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160444\/2016-09-05-04_53_32-Ads-Manager1.png\" alt=\"2016-09-05-04_53_32-Ads-Manager\" width=\"595\" height=\"613\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now you have a few options. You can choose to include all the pages of your website or only some of them, which might be helpful <strong>if you\u2019re selling more than one product\/service<\/strong> or if you have some pages that are not attracting high-quality traffic. We\u2019ve left the standard rule that we are targeting people who visited us in the last 30 days, but it can be changed up to 180 days. It\u2019s up to you, depending on the size of your traffic and the value of what you\u2019re trying to sell, but usually, if you\u2019re targeting fresh contacts you\u2019ll have the higher percentage of success.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that to create a Website Custom Audience you need to install the Facebook Pixel on your site. <a href=\"https:\/\/leadsbridge.com\/documentation\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-facebook-pixel\/\">Here a quick guide to do it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6913 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160724\/audience-2.png\" alt=\"audience 2\" width=\"576\" height=\"303\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019ve got your audience set you can go directly down to the budget window, since the placements is ok set on automatic \u2013 Lead ads are only shown on the news feed anyway. \u00a0Choose how much you want to spend, you can start slow and then increase the daily budget if everything is working fine. Just keep in mind that you should increase it gradually, don\u2019t go from 10$ to 100$ because it might mess the Facebook algorithm up and you\u2019ll see the ad performance go down.<\/p>\n<p>Then give a name to your adset for future reference and proceed to the actual ad creation. Here you\u2019ll have to choose an image or a video and work on the copywriting. Later on, you might want to try running similar ads at the same time with a different image or title to see what works best. That\u2019s what everyone calls a\/b testing.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re done with the ad creation you have to click on the \u201cCreate lead form button\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6914 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160756\/ad-creation.png\" alt=\"ad creation\" width=\"629\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose a name for your form and then answer yes when Facebook will ask you if you want to use a context card. We\u2019ve already <a href=\"https:\/\/leadsbridge.com\/lead-ads-how-to-calibrate-the-lead-quality-with-the-context-card\/\">talked about context cards in a recent post<\/a> and how they can be really useful for getting better results and <strong>higher leads quality<\/strong>. Since we\u2019re trying to get some good commitment from people clicking on our ads we\u2019d better explain them thoroughly what\u2019s happening next.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6915 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3pef22pb68mhq.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/28160826\/context-card.png\" alt=\"context card\" width=\"799\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is just an example of how you might want to fill the context card and keep in mind that we\u2019re using a really long text with the goal of getting high-quality leads, but usually long texts means lower conversion rates. We are also asking to control that the email they\u2019re sending us with the pre-filled form is a good one, since sometimes people are registered to Facebook with an old email they don\u2019t check very often anymore. Again, A\/B testing is the key of Facebook advertising success so you can try different context cards as well with alternative texts and images (a different image from the one already used in the ad is, for example, another good practice).<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019ve done with the context card go on and choose the information you want to get from your target audience.
